The television schedules in the summer are never as good as in the autumn and winter because viewing figures tend to go down as soon as the weather improves. But here's a sneak preview of what to expect on the box in the coming months. Let's face it - it wouldn't feel like summer without Big Brother on our screens. And sure enough the thirteenth series of the show will be broadcast on Channel 5 in May. The channel took over the franchise from Channel 4 last year, which means we won't have Davina McCall any more - but Brian Dowling made a pretty good job of presenting the new look show in the autumn. Meanwhile Emma Willis will return to host the spin-off series Big Brother's Bit on the Side. We're also looking forward to TV hit Dallas coming back to British TV screens. The 10 part series will feature former stars like Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, with Larry Hagman reprising his role as JR Ewing. Dallas was a huge hit three decades ago with viewers gripped by the rivalry betw! een JR and Bobby with the famous "Who shot JR?" storyline causing a buzz around the world. The new series features Jesse Metcalfe and Brenda Strong, who both starred in Desperate Housewives, as a new generation of Ewings fight for the family fortune. Finally -- even if we didn't get tickets we will all be watching the Olympics from the comfort of our living rooms this summer. Coming to the UK for the first time since 1948, it's a once in a lifetime event. And the BBC will have live coverage of it all
