REVELS-revelling in the spirit of MIT Revels-the annual cultural fest of MIT is the grand highlight of March. Students from all over the country throng MIT to be a part of this massive event, which spans over four days. It's a perfect platform to flaunt their talents over an extensive range of cultural events, covering dance, drama, fashion shows, singing, etc. The spellbinding magnets are the mega events of Battle of the Bands, Fashion Show and the Eastern and Western Dances. While the previous years' themes have been quite interesting like rewind to the retro, this year the theme is We, the change. The theme simply underlines the power of unity to help make an impact that will last, and the events, like clean Manipal campaign and blood donation camp reflect this. This time it aims to add a whole new dimension to the term "fest". Revels stands for a change; a change in the attitude of youngsters over the pressing issues of today. Over the years, Revels has been witness to m! usic shows that let the soul sway in bliss, plays that left you gaping in wonder, dance performances and fashion shows that redefined talent and of course, some of the brightest minds in the country laying siege to coveted competitions. Also, luring multitudes of people, Proshow is the showcase of some of the best bands of the country, like euphoria, faridkot, parikrama, themclones, etc. Needless to say, the heat is on in Manipal this march!
